I was flipping trough the movie channels and I saw that a showing of 'Mad Money' was too start in about three minutes. I said 'Wait a minute, I remember this movie...I might as well watch it'. So, I did. It was only about an hour and forty minutes and time wasn't wasted watching this. I watched this movie, finished it, and I didn't see all the greatness about it. It was a little funny at a few parts but other than a couple jokes this movie was really just another mediocre popcorn film.
I saw this movie as a chick's version of 'Ocean's Eleven', but with a twist to it. The movie was a little silly and I didn't really find it that great. I wouldn't say 'Hey, go see this movie right now' or anything like that. I would wait for it to be on TV or something some night. That's what I would've done if I knew this would be only 2.5 stars worthy.
ACTING:
The acting in this movie isn't bad. The acting didn't bother me. Well, it did from the guys' roles to tell the truth. The men in this movie sucked! Only the three main characters did good in this movie. My main favorite performence was by Katie Holmes, who played Rachel in 'Batman Begins'. I actually prefered Katie Holmes as Rachel other than Maggie G. But, Katie did a great job in this movie. I liked her character a lot! It made me forget it was even her! lol. Queen Latifa and Diane Keaton do a good job as well, but I give Katie the round of claps on this one.
VISUALS:
This isn't really a visual type movie. Other than this one explosion there is no other visuals. No hot women, no special effects other than one little part. But, it's only a comedy so I didn't really care.
DIRECTION:
The direction was good but too me, I thought this was shot a little too dark. All the scenery and clothes that the characters wore were a little dark and it kind of changed this to a dark comedy. I wasn't expecting that.
OVERALL:
Overall, this is a bad and good movie. I don't recommend this as a great film. It's only worth about 2.5 stars. I say, wait for it to be on TV.
OVERALL GRADE: D
