As everyone knows this trailer is an installment of the fake trailer that played before "Grindhouse". I found the fake trailer more entertaining than both of the films. I am also glad that Danny Trejo has a leading role because all his other movies are pretty much cameos. I was worried of Rodriguez making this film because he has a colorful and some what mixed career because he mayed such movies as "Spy Kids" "Shorts" "Planet Terror" and "Sin City". It seems pretty random that he makes bloody r rated films but manages to make kid friendly films.

Story: I don't really mind that this film has a unoriginal cliche story because it's kind of the point this film it's supposed to be making fun of that! But the problem is that they have so many unoriginal story lines going on at once that just makes it become overload! There are parts that are kind of slow and his relationship's with the female characters are really bland and uninteresting. And I really didn't care for the ending because it gets to the point where it stops at the over-the-top-fun and goes to the over-the-top-i-don't-really-care portion. But regardless of that, this film is extremely enjoyable.

Acting: Danny Tejo was great, Cheech Marin was awesome and they pretty much gave him the best scene in the film and I enjoyed it! I really didn't expect much from Jessica Alba but she actually was good, and so was Michelle Rodriguez. Jeff Fahey was great but did not seem very evil but still did a great job. I really had no idea why Robert De Niro was in this film but he was absolutely fantastic. Steven Segal who I never really enjoyed any of his films comes in and makes fun of all his other roles and he is absolutely hysterical!

Directing: Robert Rodriguez directed this film great and it seemed like an actual Grindhouse film (except there weren't fake scratches) and it seemed like those exploitation movies from the 70's but instead of Blacks it's with Mexicans. I found his directing great and some of the shots he did looked incredible. This film had well directed fight scenes, pretty good locations and has the most memorable performances.

Visuals: They were good and was shocking with such a low budget but the scene where Tejo is on a motorcycle and has a machine gun attached to it, that visual looked so fake and everyone in the theater laughed hysterically during that scene. Regardless the film had amazing visuals, good blood and gore and awesome fight scenes.

The Bad: There are many things wrong with this film but the first thing I want to point out is the dialogue. The dialogue was cheesy, witty and terrible. But I do admit some of it was funny. But it's just one of my pet peeves. Another thing is the ending. It seemed very similar to 'Jonah Hex' and I hated that film. The ending ruined it for me because of what happened. The last thing I will mention is one specific effect. It is a scene where Machete is in the hospital and is attacked by hit men. Okay so here it goes, A policeman tries to break it up. A man prepares to shoot him when he is shot you can tell it is a dummy because it has it's eyes closed. That effect bugged me so much because it was incredibly fake! But that is pretty much it!

Overall, Machete is a great film with memorable performances, well directed action scenes and a ton of laughs. This film is worth seeing in theaters, please do yourself a favor and watch this movie now but this film really isn't for everyone. This film does have flaws but I don't care because this is just a fun time and will send adrenaline rushing through your veins! I highly recommend you to see this movie!
