@XxNickTheFilmCriticXx Yeah. I see it in more of the 11-20 range. Films like Lincoln, while underwhelming, have leaped ahead of Looper on my list because of all Looper's inconsistencies, not to mention its shortcomings.
@thedude-abides -- I'm kind of surprised. I mean, I expected that rating from you after reading your comments on this page, but I didn't expect you to remove it from your top-10 of 2012 list.
@XxNickTheFilmCriticXx (sigh) Man, I hate to say it, but it's looking like a 2.5 outta 4 for me. I've got it as a 3/4 as of now, but after the second viewing, and all the inconsistencies brought up in the clip, I'm gonna have to subtract points. Most likely a 2.5 which, if I graded on a scale of 5, is the equivalent of a 3.5, so that sounds accurate. But I've already knocked it outta my top-10 of 2012.
@thedude-abides -- And when you add in the forced, beyond corny moments, eerily close reminiscence of "The Terminator" and the way they walked in to kidnap Bruce (Amish Mafia; seriously?), and you have an okay film, at best.
@bawnian-dexeus There was some minor nitpicking, to @XxNickTheFilmCriticXx's point, but the paradoxical time travel stuff I completely agree with. That calls for major points being deducted, as does the part about how easy it is to kill Bruce's wife in the future, which pretty much destroys the essence of the film's premise to being with.
@bawnian-dexeus I'll have to wait 'till tomorrow to watch it because I'm over at my girl's house and she doesn't have internet. I'm stealing her neighbor's wifi and loading vids is a bitch, but I'm dying to see it. After watching the film for a second time, I noticed a lot of its flaws that I didn't catch initially, so I'm guessing a lot of that will be in the clip :D
@bawnian-dexeus Well, not to beat a dead horse, but like I originally thought. It's the 2012 version of Drive in the sense that it's the breakout film for JGL and Rian Johnson (and of 2012), both of whom have just joined the ranks of the elite in both of their respective professions, a la Ryan Gosling and Winding Refn in 2011.
@narrator I have no desire to write reviews unless I am passionate about what I found in the film. If you feel so strongly about Looper, I encourage you to write a review.
@thedude-abides, @dan1, @ejk1, @mcleve02@bawnian-dexeus, @corey, etc. I have to say that this is my favorite film of the year thus far. Just finished watching it, and I loved it. Simple, well executed, intense, and had few flaws due to the fact that it offered little condemnation to begin with. I wanted to know if anyone was going to writer a review or whether or not I should.

@thedude-abides -- Now imagine what "Looper" would've been had it not had the ending and editing that it did.
