Rick, an odd scientist was being interviewed by Matt Lauer only to end it horribly. His career ruined, Rick meets Holly the doctorate so she can help him. The two go to a boat ride in the caves, guided by a gift shop owner, Will. After an accident with the tachyon amplifier, they entered another world which appeared to be a desert with items from many eras.
Throughout this crazy adventure, Rick meets various characters: Cha-Ka the monkey-like Pakuni, Grumpy the smart but mad T-Rex, vicious lizard men called the Sleestak, Enik the lizard-like Altrusian, and Zarn the Altrusian who Holly saw in a message. The four main characters must stop Enik the evil Altrusian into taking over the human world.
Now, I'm not calling Land of the Lost good or bad; I'm calling it average. You see, some jokes are funny, some are not. Now, this might not be the worst 'Lost World' film I have ever seen. I have seen worse low-budget films than this. Heck, if was a Sleestak being ruled by Enik, he'll tell me to stop Brad Silberling from making this dinosaur dung type of film.
