Ridley Scott, need i say more. great piece of story telling & if you have the definative DVD containing the omitted story line of sabila's son, it makes you wonder why it was left out. probably so they could show it more times a day.

Orlando bloom at his finest, even though he beefed up thirty pounds for the role. shut his doubters up about his star quality & his ability to carry a "blockbuster" film. he also has a remarkable supporting cast to help. the setting was perfect & the muslim cast was not in any way stereotyped but portrayed as they should be, as one half of a religious conflict. one of my favourite historical depictions of any era. felt like that was what it would have been like.
