After Dick Cook left the helm of chairman of Walt Disney's Studio film division, it seems that now Rich Ross has done the same now, as well and its only just after a month after Disney announced their profit loss on John Carter of $80 - $200 million.
Rich Ross took the helm of chairman in 2009 after Cook resigned. Ross, a veteran of 15 years to the Disney company and who has brought us hit shows and productions such as 'Hannah Montana' and the 'High School Musical' trilogy, and a multitude of many more smash hits.
But while Ross fairly did not state that he may have resigned due to the result of John Carter, he did state the following via an email: "I no longer believe that the chairman role is the right professional fit for me."
While this a tragic loss for Disney, The company's Chief Executive Bob Iger hailed Mr Ross's contribution: "For more than a decade, Rich Ross' creative instincts, business ac*men and personal integrity have driven results in key businesses for Disney.
"I appreciate his countless contributions throughout his entire career at Disney and expect he will have tremendous success in whatever he chooses to do next."
Mr Ross started at Disney in 1996 where he joined the Disney Channel as a programming and production executive
@jayaottley Also, Disney in general shouldn't find 200 million as a profit loss since the whole place is in the billions. I'm sure the film studio can afford it since they already lost money with their animated flop a year ago
There exist four rulers in this world: Gods, Humans, Vampires and Werewolves. The Question is, who do you think is above the food chain?
@dan1 So did I... It would have been amazing to see the first version of it though... It actually should have been the first animated feature length production
@jayaottley If i were him, Yes i would go back if i only left it, or resigned from it and didn't actually get fired from it, meaning his job that he had in Walt Disney Studios film division.
