i was expecting to watch a 90-minute long wall-to-wall crap-fest thanks to the fact that i still, naively, listen to the opinions strewn around the halls of movieweb and what i got was a delightful and fun romp that felt like a throwback to the fun side of 80's horror.

you got your stereotypical high school kids ranging from vapid whor*s to innocent girl next doors, and the jocks and the geeks and the so on and the so forth, in a small town setting with the always under-rated jk simmons as the adult school-based lead.

the story is that a band, backed by satan, is looking for a virgin to offer to the dark lord as a snackrifice and due to poor-planning accidentally ritually execute a ho-bag, so to speak, played by the nation's leading vapid dispensery of t&a, megan fox.

that's the jist, as explained on the back of the box (or, in my case, on the netflix envelope), which is why i didn't scream SPOILER.

anyway the movie is trite and unoriginal but who gives a sh*t, you don't watch a silly mainstream hollywood horror movie starring the ass from transformers because you're looking for mind-bending awesomeness and indetestable originality, you watch it for the sh*ts and the giggles, of which this movie offers many in the way of hammy performances, silly dialogue and glib commentary.

i say check it out-- it's fun.
