Invincible: Review By Gooberheadgirl

This is a 'feel good football' movie. Excellent true story about Vince Papale, a 30 year old 'open tryouts' Eagles fan, who makes the Eagles team in 1976. Mark Wahlberg and Greg Kinnear are perfectly cast in their respective roles. The supporting cast is great as well. The movie is very laid back, the characters are well developed and the script is written nicely. Papale is the underdog and you will find yourself pulling for him to be successful. There are just enough football plays so as not to overwhelm those who are not fans of the sport. Disney did a wonderful job bringing this story to the screen. The extra feature of the DVD includes the real Papale, coach Vermeil and others from the Eagles organization. The film and the DVD extra have just what a movie of this type needs- heart. Highly recommended...
