Into the Wild: Review By Hargre

Very few times we have been able to follow so closely the process of thinking of a fictional character. A film to watch more than once, and to which is impossible to become indifferent.

Into the Wild's screenplay takes us through the process of thinking of the main character. From its emotional confusion disguised as a breathtaking attempt to achieve freedom to the realization that one cannot live totally alone in the world. A journey that ends with finding that love has a place afterall beyond social conventions.

Sean Penn directed Hirsch magnificently and made a really beautiful, sensible road movie. I specially cherish the sequence with Hal Halbrook.

The only thing I should say against it is that I easily discovered what the character's fate would be (no, I didn't know the real story). Maybe was it a little bit shorter there would be less indications and I would give a full sounding 5 stars.
