Wow. It was good acting, good graphics, and a kick ass story. Many indi moments and some new ones. The over visuals weren't to much, besides the ending. Good jokes, without to much kiddie stuff. Actually there were some pretty good ones. Also the acting was good. I like Shia labeufs character, and how he had good chemistry with everyones else's characters. Harrison is still Indi!!! Great action especially the sword fighting part. Aliens wee ok, and I just liked the mysteries and locations. Only two things I didn't like. I didn't like the tarzan part. I also didn't like that it was too short. Only 2 hours. Still... A worthy addition. Indi 4ever people. 4ever....

well u have a point marcusx. and yes it does make sense. so once again to each it's own. It's okay for people to b disappointed. Hell I wont force people 2 like it. However I do get pissed at people who hate the whole movie. So ur ok. Call it like u said "guilty pleasure" but I really liked it. not the best. But not the worst.

Wow, I'm getting your vision of this alot more now. I suppose it really wouldn't make sense for all of those explosions and "niagra" falls like 'falls' in that anyone would probably not survive. I was just enammered into that world to like it. incmob put it best, as saying: "it's like seeing the cousin you haven't seen in 20yrs, and that you can't believe them to be different, but they are." I still like it though. Marion does seem to have been a sheer cameo character. And Spalko coulda had a lot more depth to her character cuz you get everything out of her in the prelude action scenes.

this is true. i am aware of the mistakes of the ones before KCS, but if you put into the fact that this movie primarily plays out on the idea that america is full of hill billy rednecks that prefer seeing farfetchd plot lines as opposed to good ones, outrageous explosions that could never happen in real life, and cheap humor such as dick and fart jokes, then this one takes the cake. now clearly there were no dick and fart jokes, thats just an example. but when george was put in charge with the more important details of a film, he screws up. like when mario was driving the boat vehicle and landed on the tree and slowly came down to a safe stop, or when they fell off 3 waterfalls(niagra btw) and didnt fall outta the boat til the end, or when ants carried away the general, or when shia swung thru the trees, it just doesnt work. its cheap entertainment and not enough focus on making a good movie. i kept on repeating outloud with a "yeah right" more than a "hey thats cool". and i kno its just a movie, but if thats all anyone can say in response and that i have no imagination, then you are missing the point entirely. its cool to have something like that on occasion yes, but thru the entire f*cking movie? no. and again, i kno the original 3 had moments where the laws of impossibitily were thrown out the window and crazy events took place, but this whole movie fed and was based on it. you cant do that. does that make sense? am i getting thru at all? (not sarcasm, im really asking)

yes but marcusx the thing you are forgetting or not mentioning is that temple of doom strayed away from what was loved in the first one, but the formula still worked although not one of the favorites in the series. in fact spielberg made last crusade to appologize for doom, even though it was a hit. like i said before may not have been the strongest in the series but certainly in my opinion was not the worst either.

sly, i get that you like indy. im just saying this one focused on everything opposite of the traditional way things were done with the past 3. thats all

I agree with incmob & philster08. The movie did kickass!

And to all you Indy #4 haters out there: I just reviewed "Raiders of the Lost Ark" so just see how much I really do love Indy Jones!!!!!!

i really like the movie...the ending was weird but still. the old indy punching sounds and everything really made it feel like an indiana jones movie, which made me enjoy it more than i expected. all the haters dont know. the movie kicked ass!

I totally agree, but that is what made it indy, i think in all of them there were slight differences that made each unique. yeah, the tarzan thing was a bit too much (i am guessing that was a lucas idea, he had a tarzan yell in both rotj and rots, lol)

and i disagree with you marcusx and have to support sly, that the fact is the movie felt like a ride, some of the arguments between indy and marion i thought seemed a bit forced but the movie had a great amount of pacing, and i anticipated what would happen after every scene and was actually suprised that i didnt know on a few.

bourne, dont feel dumb not knowing the end, i really could not have called that either, i heard rumors but tried to stay away from hearing anything about the new film. i really have alot of views as to the very end of the film, but i dont want to say any spoilers for anyone so i will wait a couple of weeks until i say anything about it.

once again though bourne nice review and yes i think filmpro needs a hug too...lol

Yeah. the ending with the aliens was weird, and the tarzan thing, and the atomic bomb thing was just as "different". However I loved the music, the reality(greasers, jockies)and the adventures. And even thou it was different all indi films are. i mean hell!! They did have a fight scene from two trucks(my fave part). So I guess to each his own. And if they don't like the movie marcusx, then they can sue me. Ok?

well i liked the film, and although i thought the ending was a bit out of sorts for an indiana film i thought the rest played out very nicely. It had alot of trademarks to the other indy films but also made new ones as well taken in by the fact that this was a different era therefore a different approach to the indy mythos. anyhow sly, and jason liked your reviews, and hope you get a chance to read mine.

marcusx as far as your opinions i respect em, but dont necessarily agree with them.

How do you mean? "Tried to hard?" It's vintage '50s "B" movie traps and gags the whole way through.

  14. Marcusx

the movie tried too hard. thats my main problem with it. and the fact it sucked. that didnt help either

    4 years agoby @marcusxFlag

  15. slysnide

Does anybody commenting on these reviews even know what a '50s "B" movie is supposed to run like? Cuz if they do, then they'd accept this one a lot more.

i read your review again and just felt the need to tell you i highly disagree in every way. i was let down almost as bad as spiderman 3.people are gonna read this review and think its good then go see it, find out youre responsible for a waste of their $10, then burn your house down. thats more believable than anything in this movie for sure

dude, what are you talking about? this movie was terrible. if they left out Harrison and dropped indy from the title it might've been ok. but they didnt, so it wasnt

  18. The Boondock Saint

and the monkeys were a bit stupid, but i kinda had fun with it. but sadly, the few good things about the movie didnt make up for everything else. so, after the credits do u see samuel l jakson ask indie to join the avengers?

Finally! Somebody other than me who liked this movie. The landscapes are way better than the originals. The only thing I didn't like however was the closing scene. Not "Indy" enough.
