I won't reveal what the story is about, because I don't want to ruin the surprise, but all you need to know is that Indy is back, and it's the 1950s. Post WWII.
I enjoyed Indy 4 all the way through, but unfortunately, for me, it doesn't beat the original trilogy. The Last Crusade still remains my favorite.
There are a lot of cheesy moments in the film, but none of them really ruin it completely.
The film is quite different to the original trilogy, in terms of the story, but it is essentially the same type of thing, i.e. the action scenes and the music.
One of the most intriguing parts of the film was where it nodded towards a possible spin-off film with Shia LaBeof in the starring role. It was brilliant (and slightly tongue-in-cheek) when Indy's hat rolls to Mutt's feet and he goes to put it on his head, but it is stopped when Indy walks past and takes it off him. Magic.
I'm glad they chose to make a forth, but to be honest I wouldn't really like to see a 5th as Harrison is clearly getting too old for this sh**! If anything, I'd like to see a Mutt spin-off, but I'm not particularly keen on that either.
Overall Crystal Skull is a very fun ride with very cheesy action and dialogue (that doesn't ruin it however) that SHOULD NOT be missed, as it's easily the most anticipated film in decades.
Welcome back Indy.
