As an action movie, Kingdom of the Crystal Skull was very entertaining. As an Indiana Jones movie, it was very disappointing. Harrison Ford is undeniably older. However, I couldn’t have asked more from him with regard to performance. My disappointment came with the character writing. Indiana seems to be taking on a roll more similar to that of his father. Personally, I don’t believe age should affect the personality and challenging attitude that makes him Indiana Jones. Another personal hurdle comes with the introduction of Shia LeBeouf’s character. I understand where they are taking the storyline. However, I have a very difficult time taking Shia LeBouf seriously having watched him in the Disney series Even Stevens.

I agree with you on the character change, I just can't believe they did this long on the script and then came up with a mediocre script. Harisson Ford is still great though.
