Loved this film. Sheer genius. A modern day Andy Kaufmanesque piece of social commentary.

Just saw the film and it was pretty powerful. The grass isn't always greener on the other side of the fence and this movie clearly showcases that. Joaquin Phoenix is human with flaws and self-esteem issues, but he possesses this magnetic charm, a wonderful, infectious laugh, and of course massive talent. As rough a year as it was for JP, I think he is poised for a monster of a comeback. He is so freaking talented. I think he needs to clear his head. cut his hair, shave his face and get his game face on....he's a major player in this business. He won an Oscar! Maybe a strong, caring & compassionate woman at his side wouldn't hurt either. Don't count JP out!

Haha. You guys are out of your minds. This thing is genius. Only a guy this famous could pull this off, and it be interesting as his status in Hollywood is only "prime" for so long...what does he do right after his Oscar nod? This crazy movie about trying to become a rapper. Legit or not....this is f*cking genius.

Exactly. After Walk the Line, people stopped caring. So like every desperate celebrity who is starved for attention, he pulls a ridiculous publicity stunt. Only this time there's an idiot who's just as attention starved as him to film it all.

Wow, what a waste of celluloid. You have to be very narcississtic to come up with the idea to make a doc*mentary about yourself and you havent really accomplished anything in the first place. He would play a good Charles Manson the way he looks.
