I'm Not There: Review By mozzy

Hugely underrated. Although alittle confusing, its a fascinating and imaginative look at who Bob Dylan was.

Before I begin i must get this out of my system. Cate Blanchett rocks. She blew me away, and destroys the boudaries of what an actress can do. An absoultely superb performance is supported by equally excellent performances from her supporting cast, ranging from a subtle Heath Ledger, to a mysterious Richard Gere. Also, the directing is great. In fact, given what he set out to do, Todd Haynes achieves brilliance.Although, the continous, and often abrupt switching between characters, and their stories was slightly jarring, making them hard to follow. But the more you think about them, the better they seem. The metaphors are wonderfully imaginative, and gives you quite a colourful look at the many personalities of Dylan. On a side note, the music was fantastic. A must watch.
