I Know Who Killed Me: Review By Josh

Julia Ormond and Neal McDonough ... try their best with the material they're given, but it's still a bad movie.

Calling this movie mediocre might be too generous. I don't consider Lindsay Lohan a bad actress based on her previous work, but she's pretty laughable here bringing out her inner "bad girl". Director Chris Siverston is amateurish, borrowing every trick in the book and employing none of them to the advantage of the film. There are bizarre manipulations of colour that come across as distracting, and not one but three extended strip-club scenes that serve only to sexify young Lohan. There's also a sex scene that's unintentionally hilarious, and Lohan's bra keeps disappearing and reappearing with little regard for continuity.

The worst offender here, is undoubtedly the script, as dialogue is akward or just plain bad, and the film's plot is silly. When the identity of the killer is revealed it is nonsensical and without motivation. I usually lambast writers for overusing the "multiple personalities" plot device, but in this case that would have been an improvement on how Lohan's identity crisis is resolved. It gets a ratings boost from Julia Ormond and Neal McDonough, who try their best with the material they're given, but it's still a bad movie.
