I Am Legend: Review By joeygirl

I was counting down the days to see this movie once I saw the initial preview. I thought "Omega Man" and "Last Man On Earth" rolled in to one. Throw in the lead singer of "Faith No More" as a Night Dweller and Will Smith as the lone survivor and hold on for a wild ride, well......truth be told, I was a little disappointed. The special effects were good, the scenery was good, the acting was good, but the movie somehow left me wanting more. I just felt that they could have done so much more with the story line, focused more on why the night dwellers (a.k.a. Mutants) were the way they were and why they wanted to kill Will. Omega Man with Charelton Heston explored this and gave it reason. Will Smith did a good job with the script he had, but I like Will Smith in most everything I've seen him in. Carrying a movie on your own has to be tough and he did alright. It just needed more "umph". Not going to spoil anything but the ending sucked!! It's like the movie just abruptly ended with no real story told. I was bummed.
