House of the Dead 2: Review By The CryptKeeper

Well, before I start, I better let you know that I went into this movie knowing that I would NOT take it seriously. I am not sure if it was suppose to be or not. But I love the first (as a comedy) so I had to get its sequel! Well it sucked. I thought I was gonna be on a laugh riot! But no. It was stupid, and it wasn't funny like the first was.

The story actually isn't too bad for a zombie movie. They need to find a cure, and they try to find it in zombie blood. So they send the army. That was a huge mistake right there. Whenever you put soldiers of some kind into a "scary" movie, it makes the movie worse than it would have been. It is always so cheesey, and like the film was suppose to be badass or something. The sgt. was the funniest. He's the reason there is rascism against blacks. He talks like he's from the ghetto. No offense, I'm not racist, but you get my point.

The acting is... pathetic. This was about the only thing I was laughing at. There are really no big names, so I won't even bother mentioning them. But there is a small role done by Sid Haig, who was Captain Spaulding in House of 1000 Corpses and The Devil's Rejects. He is terrble in his 5 minutes he is on the screen. He's also a pervert. He kills this girl, just so he can take her back to his lab, take of ALL her clothes, then give her an injection in the NECK. This injection is suppose to make her a zombie.

The director is Michael Hurst. But who cares? He does a terrible job. You aren't laughing, and you aren't screaming. So whichever one he was aiming for, he didn't do it.

The visuals are very fake. Lame looking zombies. That's about it.

Overall, a very bad "horror" flick. This was a sci-fi channel original, so that should tell you right there that this movie is bad, which it is.
