I don't know, maybe my expectaions are way too high or maybe im just screwed in the head. I was really disappointed in this film. They huped it up to be this in your face, gorefest, like something you have never seen before. Believe me, I've seen it. I didn't feel it was a gorey as it could have been. Yes it is true, things are more scarier when you dont see what is happening but I think the pertains more to ghost stories and hauntings. Yes it had its moments like with the gushing eyeball scene, but I need more! Less boobs and more blood. Sex and nudity in gore films cheapens it for me, its not necessary. Seems like the just include it in there to waste time before the film gets rolling. The story itself was good and they could have done so much more with it, its a horrble though going to a foreign country knowing your being hunted. There was so much potential there! Oh well...what's done is done.

I didn't see Hostel yet, and I'm not in a rush. Although I did think that the trailer for Grindhouse called "Thanksgiving" which was done by the same guys is totally sick, with disturbing imagery that is not for the faint hearted. I still can't shake some of the images from that trailer. If you haven't seen it I highly recommend it. Also if you want some sick, twisted gore that actually freaks you the f*ck out see the unrated addition of the french film "Man Bites Dog." And for some more playful over-the-top slasher movie kinda gore Hatchet and Planet Terror are must sees, as well as the unrated director's cut of Land of the Dead. There's also a film called High Tension that has some memorable, graphic killings I won't soon forget.
