Okay, okay. So it is about the Easter Bunny and it's corny for sure. And that connected to a really stupid plot line makes for light fare at best. But when a 5 year old and 7 year old tell you the movie is boring and stupid what can you say? Still, little ones will be fascinated I'm sure - the kids I'm referring to have extremely free thinking parents and offer extremely articulate opinions about, well everything.

But really, this film had so much press and publicity in Los Angeles we were expecting well something a little more hip (hop). Take out the CGI and James Marsden's amiable turn as the reluctant hero and you've got...well a thinly told story with a (mythological) character driven plot that is just poorly done. It's not Christmas so needless to say the Easter Bunny has never really come into his own with Easter - you are better off watching "The Ten Commandments" - now there is a classic story of Passover but really, the whole Easter Bunny and resurrection of Christ; let's face it, it's a hard fit.

I can't imagine this will become a classic and how far can a laugh go about a bunny who craps jelly beans and a "jealous chick" who wants to take over the Easter Bunny's job?
