Once again, the McCallister family is off on their Christmas Vacation -- this time to Florida. But Kevin wanders off at the airport and ends up on a plane bound for New York City, instead of arriving with his family in Florida.
Upon arrival, he checks himself in at The Plaza and sets out to enjoy himself in the city with his father's credit card. He checks out the biggest toystore in the city and finds out that Harry and Marv - the bungling burglars that Kevin previously foiled - are planning to rob that very location on Christmas Eve.
