Hollywood Dreams is Henry Jaglom's first film with his new muse, Tanna Frederick. Frederick is hilarious as Iowa girl, Margie Chizek, who comes to Hollywood to be a star. A series of mishaps land her at the doorstep of producers Kaz (Zack Norman) and Ceasar (David Proval). They introduce her to their upcoming star Robin (Justin Kirk) and interesting (an unusual) sparks fly. Margie is driven to get her dream happening, no matter what. She appears to be kind of ditzy but there's something lurking beneath that exterior. There's a view of Hollywood that's refreshing and probably has large doses of reality. Wonderful performances by the abovementioned cast plus Melissa Leo and the great Karen Black. Very cool ending. Score another one for Henry Jaglom.
