people gave ron pearlman a good going over for his part in this film. so, the only part that was his own in the charector were his eyebrows. who cares! the film was a piece of true escapism. after all, isn't that what they wanted to achieve? surely critics didn't rate his performance alongside those actors who take only dramatic period roles? without actors of ron pearlmans calibre the industry would surely wither & die.
