"Didn't open the box." And what was it last time, "Didn't know what the box was?" And yet, we do keep finding each other, don't we?

In my opinion this was a great sequel to the original and I find myself watching this film more than the first. I would not say it is a better movie, I just like the fact that it contains more gore than the first and we see more of the 'cenobites'. Love the fact Julia walks around without her skin and I think it looks rather authentic.

If you watch and like the first installment, you have to see this one.

    I saw this on the big screen, but sometimes in the UK, they sometimes show cut versions..I recently saw the full uncut version which shows you more of the guy at the beginning slicing himself with a cut throat razor. Other than that it all looked pretty much the same, but I still think the first is better[Only just].

    this was a huge improvement upon the original, and loved the idea they tied the two stories together. it is rare that some sequels surpass the originals, but i certainly think that this was very close if not able to do it. dr. channard, was the human villian without the humanity of emotions, which was a perfect contrast to kirsty. and killer although i thought part 3 was very much a let down except a few scenes of the film (felt as if they were going with the approach that became freddy's downfall: humor)i do feel that they have progressively gotten worse since then. it will be nice to get a fresh approach with the scheduled re-imagining, i just hope it is not a slick hollywood redo and they can keep the gritty elements that made the first film so good.

    I agree, best of the sequels. I do own all of them and watch them on occasion, bad or good.

    I loved this film. Unfortunately, it was the only good sequel made out this franchise. Part 3 was okay, but it really got bad after that.
