I saw the trailer for this movie way back when it first came out, and I thought it looked terrible. But then I heard that Malin Akerman was in the first (Harold & Kumar Go to White Castle) so I rented it, and ended up liking more than just her scene, and actuaually being throughly impressed with it. But I hadn't seen any advertizement for it- this one I had seen the trailers, posters, and everything, and it looked really lame. But I really liked this, and for that I am sorry, because much like Knocked Up, Zack and Miri Make a Porno, and many other movies nowadays, I misjudged it. This movie, as with the first, had quite a bit of laughes to it.

I wouldn't say this is better than the first, in fact, I gave it the same 3.5 stars rating, but this one has a little more laughs to it. I must say the first one was a little more clever though, because it had to be more creative. This one had more story to work with to make jokes. As where the first had barely any story, and just whatever came to the writer's minds. Also, unfortunately, this one is a lot cruder than the first. Some of the stuff in this is just bad, and should have been edited out. If you've seen the movie, I mean parts like in the opening credits, the part when they're in jail, and the brief male nudity.

The story isn't very good, or creative, but it's funny. Now I won't spoil the ending of the first one, so I guess if you haven't seen it, some of this won't make sense. Harold and Kumar are on their way to Amsterdam, but then, they get mistaken for terrorosits, and go to Guantanamo Bay in prison. But they escape, and are now on the run. It is sorta like the first because now- all these random, funny events start to take place. And as the first, it has a cute little ending.

John Cho and Kal Penn play Harold and Kumar. They both work quite well together. You wouldn't think so, but they do. They have a nice little friendship going, and they'd probably be fun to be around as long they do not get you into any trouble. A few of the supporting actors do kinda bleh... But since John Cho and Kal Penn do so well, it makes up for it.

It took 2 directors to make this movie- John Hurwitz and Hayden Schlosseberg. They also wrote the first, and will be writing and directing the third in 2010. I guess when directing, they make it as crude as possible! I didn't like certian parts of the film, but I'm not sure that it dropped the overall score. But otherwise than that, they do a really funny job of protraying the big Escape From Guantanamo Bay.

Overall, this movie is actually pretty good, and funny movie. Maybe not worth a lot of stars, but I do like this movie.

No spell check.
