The newest installment of H and K was exactly what you expected. Pot, t*ts, and hilarious moments with Neil Patrick Harris. in most sequels you would find alot of things wrong ie nto as entertaining maybe not as funny or just plain dull. well HKEFGB delivers where others fall short. its got the same style of humor and even more Neil.[which in my opinion you cant get enough(save the gay comments Rad)]

the movie takes place exactly one week or so where the first left off. the minority pot smoking duo are off to find maria in amsterdam and along the way the guys run into some trouble on their flight. kumar feels in necessary to used the lavatory and reveal his latest invention. a smokeless bong that releases a sweet clean smell as opposed to the normal marijuana smell. he gets rejected by harold who doesnt wish to smoke on the plain and just wait til they land in the reefer capital of the world.

in the midst of all the comotion, an elderly woman sees kumar trying to light his bong and yells "TERRORIST" alarming all 3 air marshalls present on the plane.

they land back in america and are sentenced to Guantanamo Bay, Cuba until the CIA(or whoever with the government) can figure out why the North koreans(harold) and Al Quaeda(kumar) are working together. later they meet up with Neil Patrick and much laughter ensues

*****

*spoiler*

wait for the credits to go by and you will see Neil is alive

*****

the movie is entertaining in the least especially if you like the first one.

i give it 3.5 just because i feel it necessary to criticize instead of giving everything i like a 4 or 5 stars. but deff see it. its money well spent no question about it

and on a side note, a sequel (Harold and Kumar 3)was announced at the premier of the EFGB

Having had both, I have to say In and Out takes the prize. This movie was funnier the second time around. I wasn't in the right state of mind the first time I saw it. =)

ya thats my point. IN N OUT is the best burger joint to date tho. i was born and raised in so cal, so i was fortunate enuff to eat there often. but white castle always seems to slip away from my grasp. maybe a trip this weekend is in order. guess we will see. i just feel like doing something for the weekend. but i dunno if i can. pisses me off haha

Yeah. That sounds vaguely familiar. I remember years ago there was this burger joint called "Murder Burger" that had it's closest location across the street from my college in Rocklin, and since was bought out, changed the name, and closed down. The closest one now is in Davis. About and hour drive away with no traffic.

Also, a similar, but opposite story: When my parents liked "In 'N' Out" there weren't any around where we lived. But since moving to Auburn where there's one a ten minute drive away, it kinda killed the craving of it that it had when we had to travel to get there. But yeah, I'd definitely go on a road trip to White Castle after seeing that movie. It's strange how the most random of things get your cravings up for something like that ya know?

ya no kidding. im still thinking about taking a trip to minnesota(closest one is up there). phat made a good point a while back saying there is never one around when ya want one, and that if you move by one, it burns down and is rebuilt several hours away lol

You'd think there'd be more of those restaurants around after the success of the first film.

yea i think maybe they should have reversed it, amsterdam THEN white castle, pot usually enduces hunger fits which would lead to a white castle with scrumptious mini burgers

lol these movies are a rare find. the fact that the 1st and 2nd are good is something most other films and their sequels cant pull off. kal penn and john cho have excellent on screen chemistry. hope the 3rd one does well as its 2 prior installments did

True. I am surprised that they waited so long to do a sequel though, considering how popular the first one was.
