Hannibal (2001)

It's another good vs. evil showdown between Dr. Hannibal Lecter (Anthony Hopkins), in hiding in Florence after getting himself out of jail free at the end of The Silence of the Lambs, and FBI Special Agent Clarice Starling (Julianne Moore), in disgrace in D.C. after a botched shootout. Also after Lecter are his only surviving victim, deformed zillionaire Mason Verger (an uncredited and unrecognizable Gary Oldman), and a mercenary Italian detective (Giancarlo Giannini); also after Clarice is her brainy FBI boss (Ray Liotta). By the time this second chapter of their adventures is over, Hannibal and Clarice find themselves in places you've never seen in a movie before. More »

Lecter is not insane, not because he's eating man's part you'll consider him insane, he just love it, same thing as we crave for eating chocolates or whatsoever...hehe. but honestly, in some point, there's a shot. There's pure evil in Lecter but cutting off his hand for Sterling, well, that is insanity...

overall, it's great to watch specially if you want to know why Hannibal Lecter became the AFI no. 1 best Villain of all time, Empire Magazine 5th Greatest Movie Character of all time,

    8/10 rawrrrrrs
