Hancock: Synopsis

There are heroes... there are superheroes... and then there's Hancock (Will Smith). With great power comes great responsibility - everyone knows that - everyone, that is, but Hancock. Edgy, conflicted, sarcastic, and misunderstood, Hancock's well-intentioned heroics might get the job done and save countless lives, but always seem to leave jaw-dropping damage in their wake. The public has finally had enough - as grateful as they are to have their local hero, the good citizens of Los Angeles are wondering what they ever did to deserve this guy. Hancock isn't the kind of man who cares what other people think - until the day that he saves the life of PR executive Ray Embrey (Jason Bateman), and the sardonic superhero begins to realize that he may have a vulnerable side after all. Facing that will be Hancock's greatest challenge yet - and a task that may prove impossible as Ray's wife, Mary (Charlize Theron), insists that he's a lost cause.

  9. The First Avenger: JohnnyBlaze

Will Smith is the most overblown actor ever. He hasent been funny since fresh prince. an that was back in the early 90's. he's jus trying to get a ride on the money train of superhero movies. he's a hack

  14. NAME GOES HERE

While this movie came close to be what i would consider to be an irrefutably enjoyable popcorn movie (as i would consider the worst of his movies to be), it did miss the mark.

As it unfolded in front of me, i saw a film that had faults in most areas (bar the acting) - the plot seemed to be the compilation of one plot (that lasted the first 2 thirds of the movie) and a few subplots that were thrown in the mix when they realised the film was too short, but regardless of this fault, the thing that stood out to me above all was the failure to successfully combine the genres of comedy, action and drama: the end result was like a water-oil mix in that the 2 (or in this case 3) parts wouldn't stick and, like a 3-limbed person that has had each of their limbs attached to a horse, they just seemed to get further from each other as the film progressed (leaving a bloody mess as an end result).

Please don't take my sole word for it though as those which i watched the film with seemed to thoroughly enjoy it - go see it for yourself

p.s. - should i have added this as a film review rather than a comment? - it seems to be an excessively long comment or a slightly-too-short review. OH WELL!

for a superhero that doesnt give a sh*t about anything, will smith is always the rite character! Hes much more um, how should i put this, i wouldnt say mature, but more experienced. Hes had alot of work with acting, his albums say alot. Hes just an artistic person, that i guess likes to put himself out there. Thats the way it should be! And that wale seen, holy sh*t, that is hysterical! How the hell do get something like that on youtube? Haha
