Most musicals have a crappy plot and good music or good plot and crappy music. Examples: High School Musical. Good Plot, Bad Music. This movie has both. Its about segration and how a teenaged girl wants to make a difference in that by being a role model for other dancer who want to be on "The Corny Collins Show". John Travolta is hilarious and the actors are fantastic.
