Let me start this review off by saying I was looking forward to seeing Green Lantern ever since I saw the trailer in front of Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows Part 2, I thought it was going to be a great movie. But I was wrong. You can tell by the opening of the movie, that its not going to be very good because the CGI is terrible and looks like a video game, and the narrator is lame and cheesy, but this is the least of the movie's problems.

I'll start off with the overall story of the film, for those of you who don't know Green Lantern is a superhero movie about Hal Jordan who is a test pilot, who ends up becoming a Green Lantern. This is the basic story of the movie, its quite simple. I wouldn't have much of a problem with the story, had it actually be any good. The story is just weak, its all over the place and its just plain horrible. I'm not sure who the screen writer of the film is, but whoever it was needs to be fired if they want the sequel to be any better. The story is easily the weakest thing about the film, and trust me as the film progresses the story gets even worse.

Now I'll talk about the acting of the film. The only actor in this movie that did a horrible job with their role was Peter Sarsgaard who played Dr. Hector Hammond. His acting in the movie was just atrocious, it's like he wasn't even trying, the way he delivered his lines was just plain terrible and boring. He made his character seem like a boring one, I hate to say it but he just wasn't right for the role. Now the rest of the actors all do a decent job with what they have to work with, but the one actor who stands out from the rest is Ryan Reynolds as Hal Jordan. Ryan steals the show away as Hal, he really showed his acting skills in this. He managed to make this movie somewhat bearable, and made his character likable. There's not much else to about the acting in this movie, other then its decent.

There's not much else I need to say about this movie, other then its a pretty bad film. It may not be as horrible as some people are making out to be, but still its a bad film and there's no excuse for that. Green Lantern should have been more epic then what it was. The only redeeming thing about the movie is the acting. I have to say Green Lantern is the worst superhero movie I have ever seen.
