Eastwood plays a grumpy old sod who has just lost his beloved and doesnt get the respect he deserves from his immediate family.. As the film moves on, it becomes apparent why Clint is heartless to his ethnic neighbours and generally miserable. But when a local gang begin bullying the lad from next door, who initially tried to steal his Gran Torino Clint intervenes and he eventually takes him under his wing and helps him..
Without giving much more away, the film steps up a gear as the gang want revenge.
This is a powerfull movie at times, and treds where some films would fear to tred..But nevertheless it is solid entertainment, and its another one of those rare movies that is so convincing you forget that its just acting..
Eastwoods best acting performance since MILLION DOLLAR BABY, and there is a similarity between big Clint and a local young priest, that love hate relationship which reminded me a little of that film.
..
Go see it now..its a must see!
