I am a big fan of all the actors in this film. Greg Kinnear has always been an actor who I enjoy watching. He has a good screen presence, I mean. Rebecca Romjin is a very beautiful actress, and also has a good screen presence. Of course Robert De Niro is up there as well. But for Kinnear and Romjin, this movie really put their acting skills to the test, and they all accomplished their goals very well. However...

Unfortunately, the script was amateur, and sloppy. There are so many things that simply do not make sense, and an especially an awful, ending that resolves nothing. The movie had such potential. They got good actors, and a great start to the film. It was such a waste to see the movie fall apart the way it did. The movie became such an illogical mess. You were constantly wondering what the hell was going on, and receiving very little as far as answers go. And when you did receive an answer, God forbid it make sense.

The movie is about Greg Kinnear and Rebecca Romjin who are married, and have a child. Their child is killed when a car swerves out of control, and hitting their son. Robert De Niro finds out about their loss, and contacts them and tells about his illegal cloning process. They say no at first, but then obviously agree to doing it. Everything is great, until his eighth birthday. Then randomly he starts having "episodes." He starts seeing things that are not there, and misbehaving. They of course contact Robert Di Niro, which tells them he is just having night terrors. But of course that's not it. Sadly, the movie has a silly explanation to what is really going on. One, that it seems like they had to throw in there because they did not have anything else to go with after the initial good plot line.

Sadly good actors did not save this film from being dull, and overall kinda stupid. Part of me wonders if the actors received a different script that was better than this, and then re-written all to sh*t, because I do not even think this would sound too great on paper, either. Oh well, I say see this one if it is free, or you are a huge fan of one of the actors in the film. If not then skip it, because there are few redeeming qualities.
