G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra: Review By OhTheFilmNerd

Lets get this clear, i see this film as something easy to sit back and relax and to watch, many may be familiar with the old toys and cartoons, such thrases uttered by the only Wayans brother who is actually funny "life like hair, and kung fu grip" gets your mind or actually my stirring while watching this movie.

This film was inspired by, mainly the coimc books, and TV shows, and the story lines jotted about around the different decades of "Joe" Lore.

And i find that this film has no resembalence at all with the toys, maybe a little pun quote type thing but truly this is expanding the Lore and fanbase of the comics, which is not bad, but what about the die hard fans of the "HASBRO TOYS" they grew up with, hmm.

Well theyll have to sit through this, not well acted or exicuted film, but it is a fun science fiction film , with some minor action pieces to enjoy, the visuals in some sequences good.

Such as the underwater base, the type HIVE underwater battle was boring, kept intercutting with a pricelss KUNG FU sword fight between Snake Eyes And Storm Shadow, that should have lasted longer and could have, but Stephen Sommers likes to expand on What He likes.

Changing Director for a sequel may be out of the question as he has made this his own, or maybe it will work, maybe a new director will do this justice and expand it and make it good.

Replace Tatum, who is wooden, and i actually thought at one point, it he dies under that water he will float back to the surface, as wood does.

Gordon Levitte, thank goodness ,he saved himself full of miscastings after he run into the shadow of Warner Brothers And Christopher Nolan, also 500 Days of Summer, TRULY REMARKABLE.

But im here to review this, in my words, popcorn flick.

Anyway theres a team named GI JOE Full of so called "JOES" who perform missions when it comes to the safety of our world, so when a coparate company releases a weapon called Nanomites an attack is performed on the millatary and its men carry it to its soul destination, or so we thought, well everybody saw the predictable twist coming, so BOO HOO to you Sommers not as smart and intellectual as you hope to be, all the while Duke sees his ex hot totty team up with this evil clan of Cobra and truly wants to fight back, so he enlists himself with fighter pilot Wayan to join up.

The Story background into Nanomites is good for Nerdy geeks/Nerds like me, the Lore in which i have only started to enjoy, but for an audience it is dribble that drags.

The visuals look catoony but fun, and wacky and zazzy, this is a hold your cards up no serious filmmaking.

The Music is genrally good.

The Director: DUMB, DUMB, And DUMBER for allowing The Mummy 3 Rise Of The dragon Emporer to be made.

Overall a Fun Film Fun Of Gun Ho Action, Wacky Visuals, And A Heap Load Of "JOE" Lore To Keep The Fans Satisfied Till Another 4 Years When The Sequel Is Made, THIS TIME WITHOUT TATUM!
