This movie was full of action, and non-stop special effects. If you are an action lover you will like this movie. 10 mins into the film, guess what... their was action!
@Pie, That's cool. I gathered that you loved Up. I did too. It's just a matter of differing opinions. As for GI joe, if you read some of the comments below, you'll see my feelings regarding that.
@ejk1 I personally think Up was better than District 9. That doesn't mean D9 is a bad film, because it's a great movie. But you have to agree with me that GI Joe The Rise of Cobra sucks, and this is not a review.
I had the blankest expression on my face while I was watching it lol. I was pissed off at the architecture of the theater room as well! What idiot puts an aisle right through the center of a theater?! It leaves like 5 seats on either side of the aisle for each row. I hate that theater. Someday I'll protest and bring a lawn chair and sit in the aisle! ha!
@Dave No review yet. I never do reviews of movies I've seen more than 2 weeks ago. if i do, then they turn out really vague. And since I don't have it my fangasm collection like everyone else apparently does, it'll have to wait until I rewatch it down the road sometime :P
And my review wouldn't really clear things up persay. I liked the movie and could only find a couple of things that were necessarily "wrong" with it. It just didn't smack me as "best movie ever OMG".
The scene that angered me to no end in GI Joe--Those stupid suits. Everyone oohhhhed and ahhhhhed over them in the trailers, but you know? They didn't f*cking work! They failed! And the dumbass got captured while wearing it! Stupid.
Also, if you think back to the first trailer, it opens with the Eiffel Towers destruction. That let's anyone who saw the trailer know that when the suits are unleashed to stop the act of terrorism in Paris, they were going to fail. The studio destroyed the biggest action sequence in the movie by revealing its outcome months earlier. Doubly stupid.
@Dave I honestly couldn't tell you. i liked the movie a lot, but I couldn't help but wonder what all the fuss was about? What did people see in it that suddenly made it best thing since curly fries? I enjoyed watching it and would recommend the movie to others, but I just don't see why everyone got their panties in a wad when I wasn't in love with it lol.
