Surprisingly entertaining.

The actors succeed quite nicely in unifying the movie's multiple personalities, its ricocheting screenplay.

Whoopi enters as Oda Mae Brown, a semi-phony spiritualist, and she steals the show.

Starring Patrick Swayze, Demi Moore, and best of all, Whoopi Goldberg, this kitchy supernatural romance was nominated for the Best Picture Oscar, probably because of its commercial popularity.

Guys, cook a nice meal, crack a bottle of nice red wine and toss this in and you've got an instant classic date. Bonus points if you pull out a tissue or three.

Ghost is a movie about corporate malfeasance and greed, aided by bloody awful early CGI and predicting the basic flippancy of Forrest Gump and American Beauty.

Years of parody and spoofing ... have not tainted this intensely passionate moment ...

With a premise this stupid, it's hard to believe that Ghost became not just a mega-blockbuster but -- and you may have forgotten this -- the winner of two Oscars.

This occult love story deserved its hit status.
