Funny Games: Review By TheLogicalDan

I went into this movie thinking that it would be freaky. I thought that it would be a scary thrilling movie that would be fun. Ill start out by saying that It was not fun. I will say the first hour is nice, its well acted and it kept my attention. The opening credits were nice to "Funny Games" with death metal in the backround. After the first hour the movie just became pretty bad, it had really long scenes about 5-9 min long of one take that could have been done in 2 min. It lost my attention from time to time. It was annoying at times how polite they are in the beginning. It really thrived on politness.

The Good - The acting was amazing from every one, the two guys are freaky and scary and the victims really make you feel for the characters. The set is amusing the way its lit up gives it something. They talk to the adience to make it feel like they know the cameras are their. I did really feal cheated by the movie at many time, but that was the point of it, it was meant to show you how far they would go.

The Bad - It drags on so many times (mainly the second half of the movie). It gets extremely boring. They dont give you any real reason why they are doing it (they say its because of eggs). The ending is makes you feel cheated.

I saw in the Red Band trailer that it looked like it gave away someone who dies, IT DOES NOT!

But i do have to say that this movie is disturbing, its sick. It is pretty freaky, and it was not predictable at all.

So overall i pretty much disliked the movie. I would say that you should rent it . The actors really made the movie the only part of the movie watchable. Other then that really no redeaming qualities. My rating may go up. I will say that it was worse then I expected.

Now i kinda feel that the movie is an ok movie. I just feel cheated by the ending. My rating may go up.

And the dvd has 0 special features, it doesnt even have special features link on the dvd's menu.
