WARNING! SPOILERS!

When I first saw the original, i thought to myself, what a load of crap, one of the cheesiest films ever,

But then i saw the remake, one of my favorite films in the world, I did hope for a bit more gore, and it isn't very scary, but horror films rarely are.

The Good - 1. When Whitney is running back from the hut and finds Richie in the bear trap, she tries to help, but Jason runs up and sticks his machete into the top of head.

2. Jason jumps down from the roof and sticks the fire poker through the police officers eye.

3. The ending - The bit when Jason comes up from the water and grabs Whitney, (Great ending)

The Bad - On a whole, the kills weren't that good (The best kill is the axe through the back)

Overall, a great horror flick, its not that scary but it does, however, have a few good jumps, and it gets your adrenaline going... Not for the fainthearted!

    I agree. Its not as good if you put in line with the original franchise, but if you look at it as an independant telling of the original idea then it rocks. I wasnt very scared either but i did jump out of my seat a few times. especially the opening scene when Jason splits that guys skull & runs after the girl wielding that machette with both hands..
