I really wanted to like this one, but in the end the characters are really no different than they were in the beginning: pretentious, self-absorbed and scarred from their childhoods. SEMI-SPOILER: Instead of growing from their new found revelations about themselves (thanks to spending horrible Christmases with their dreadful families) they unintentionally fall into "the next step" and somehow still avoid becoming a family. While the movie does try (poorly) to at least mention the value of family (especially through Voight's character's revelation of mistakes as a father in spending too much time away), it ultimately makes a mockery of it. As for Vaughn and Witherspoon - their chemistry was fantastic and both were enjoyable to watch. While Vaughn was his usual self, it was nice to see Reese in a comedic role, bouncing off of the quick and witty Vaughn. That's all the praise this movie has... everything else is a waste of time. SIDE NOTE: Also, not a big fan of the way they mock Christianity in this film (to include the story of Christ's birth).
