Forgetting Sarah Marshall is a likeable comedy, and very funny, yet doesn't reach the heights of Apatow-written/directed films like Knocked Up and the 40 Year Old Virgin.

Jason Segel does however manage to bring a lot of heart and laughs to his debut screenplay, and he's great in the main role, doing more justice to the lovable loser character than Adam Sandler has managed to in all his films. Surprisingly, the film is occasionally quite poignant and authentic in its exploration of masculine vulnerability.

That, and the Dracula puppet musical itself is worth watching the film for.
