Justin Lin's new 'Fast Five' is a large improvement in the franchise by the action that has increased. It's probably either the first Fast and the Furious that I like the most, or this one. 'Fast Five' is intense, impressive, and totally non-stop action. The film actually stars off with the ending to Fast & Furious which is rescuing Dom out of the prison bus, so the action already started. It was pretty cool how they stopped the bus by crashing it. I have not seen a bus crash like that in a movie in a long time, probably '48hrs'. I didn't expect for the film to begin that way but it was a very nice way to do it. The film is a very promising and impressive film that has action you won't be disappointed by.

Former cop Brian O'Conner partners with ex-con Dom Toretto on the opposite side of the law. Since Brian and Mia Toretto broke Dom out of custody, they've blown across many borders to elude authorities. Now backed into a corner in Rio de Janeiro, they must pull one last job in order to gain their freedom. As they assemble their elite team of top racers, the unlikely allies know their only shot of getting out for good means confronting the corrupt businessman who wants them dead. But he's not the only one on their tail. Hard-nosed federal agent Luke Hobbs never misses his target. When he is assigned to track down Dom and Brian, he and his strike team launch an all-out assault to capture them. But as his men tear through Brazil, Hobbs learns he can't separate the good guys from the bad. Now, he must rely on his instincts to corner his prey before someone else runs them down first.

Justin Lin has a cloned mind of John Woo! The film has spectacular action skills. The final action scene with the money safe chase was just awesome, it's probably impossible that those two cars can do that but it was very well done. So, all of the choreography was perfect some action sequence can confuse you, I'm sorry but has anybody seen this movie and knew what happened at that last action sequence when that Charger was tossed right into that other car? I mean that was perfect but the screen was to big for me to focus on it. A whole lot of stylized action scenes are in this film, you'll enjoy it. His directing was great, but his camera work was too close and too fast for me to focus in some of action scenes.

Paul Walker, in my opinion, was better in the previous films. In a couple of scenes he tried a bit too hard, in the rest he's good. Vin is always awesome in these films. The right tone, the right face, so he's good. Now Dwayne Johnson is just freakin hardcore, he is way better off in these films than his horrid performances in those Disney movies. The guy is just look incredibly buff and stressed out, I mean he's sweating in every scene, I mean EVERY! Good news, Tyrese doesn't say 'brah' in the movie! Anyway, he was nice too, but he may annoy you by his talking, to me he was hilarious. he was right on too. Everybody else did nice, not perfect, but nice.

It has very nice visual effects, non noticeable outlines whatsoever. It's a very good thing that these guys are smart and they don' use cgi and photoshop crap to make action. non noticeable objects to trigger things either, because in some films it's easy to find. I'm sorry, but you know how I am when I review at night, I'm not that specific during this time, I don't know if I was good enough. To me it's pretty awesome, and I promise perfect choreography. And let's not forget that highly anticipated fight between Vin and Dwayne.

Overall, it was awesome. I know I gave 3 4.5s, but it was still awesome enough to deserve a 5.0. Many of you probably disagree, but you have to remember that I'm a sucker for action. I'm the MovieWiz, thanks for reading.

@moviewiz001 There are so many that stand out in my mind i was actually considering making a YouTube video with some of the more obvious but due to time contraints pretty much ditched that idea.

Plus if your not looking they are easy to miss.

good review. Glad to hear its choreographed well. I love these movies but there are so many times when you can see those little lifts or pads that pop the cars up or move them around (toss them around?)
