ACTING:
Fun Fact:
This is actually Harrison Ford's first movie without his name being credited first since "Return of the Jedi".
The acting in this movie is very well performend. The acting is what makes the movie very realistic. Brendan Fraser, who I normally am never happy with in a movie, gives his best performence yet as John Crowley, a father willing to go to the extreme to save two of his kids from Pompe Disease.
Harrison Ford, also gives a very talented performence, as Dr. Stonehill. Stonehill is a crude and eager character and this one of Ford's best in a long while! Is his performence Oscar-worthy? Well, based on all the other performences that I've seen from this year, so far, I think Ford could be on that list for Best Supporting Actor. I guess we'll have to wait and see.
Kerri Russel plays Mrs. Crowley, John's wife. Russel's performence of Mrs. Crowley is amazing and her support towards Mr. Crowley in this movie makes it all very believable. Russel gives one amazing performence...just like all the actors/actresses in this film.
DIRECTING:
Tom Vaughan directs this movie. Unlike his last movie, "What Happens in Vegas" [Kutcher, Diaz, Rom-Com], "Extraordinary Measures" takes a whole new spin where this is more dramatic, obviously, and more respected, I guess, you could say. Based on his directing in this film, there is no problem what-so-ever. The direction was perfect.
"Extraordinary Measures" sets inspiration towards its veiwers, maybe more than what "The Blind Side" did. I honestly really wish that this movie got more credit than what it did. But, maybe that can all change when it hits the DVD shelves Tuesday, May 18th.
CONCLUSION:
I am telling you all, rent, OR even BUY, this movie. It is one amazing flick. No, it is not boring, it is very, very uplifting. See "Extraordinary Measures".
Thanks for the read!
