(in my opinion the best film of 2007 was this.shot on location in the streets of london,cronenberg sets a dark and gritty scene of potentially true-life underworld goings on!!!).

back together after the success of A HISTORY OF VIOLENCE mortensen and cronenberg team up and with the additions of naomi watts and the highly talented vincent cassel a film of great substance,soul and life was made.

a heart-wrenching story,a plot that thickens throughout and a gripping finale...should you be able to stomach the odd scenes of bloody violence then this film will not disappoint!!!

whether based loosely on truth(s) or not we get an insight into the russian mob rather than the usual look at the italian mafia or the so-called british wanna-be gangsters.
