I have read the original 6 3 times, my absolute fave. this sight is not very reliable. this movie idea has fallen thru one to many times. the story is just way to epic and the people involved understand this. they must and will get it right. i think it should be a animated 3 part movie like the book so they can leave nothing out and do it right. most people cant sit thru the old one with Sting. The first Sci-Fi channel one left out key points.. like Usul?!... Children of Dune i had to narrate to every one i made watch this... sorry if my typing is off, just very tired at this point at night
Harrow I agree with you that harerach has it all confused BUT there have been three Dune movies one by universal studios back in the eighties and the other two done by the sci fi channel the first by sci fi was simply called Dune while the second used the same actors with some new additions which followed children of dune and dune messiah was called Children of Dune taking two or three dvds to hold the full movie because it was done as a miniseries and not a single movie.
well Kwisatz Haderach ur not too smart in ur words for you did not read the book or pay any attention to the titles of the two movies. One movie was the original adaption in full of Frank Hernerts dune his first Book in his elaborate series which i have read many times. The other movie is referred to children of dune( dune 2000) 12 yrs after Paul Muad Dib Rose to power so when you say one had more sh*t than the other ur wrong. It was the sequel. And the original is far better than the previous Sci-Fi movie(TV Made 3 Part Mini-Series). The movie characer Paul Muad Dib lives up to the Novel Version Of Paul Muad Dib. So maybe you should read his books before you talk. For you shame the name Kwisatz Haderach until you have read Dune by Frank Herbert. Then Maybe you can wear that name with pride until then you will shame that name for the time being.
I will say they need a very good actor for Paul Atredies. In the movie with Sting, I hated the actor who layed Paul, loved the guy who was Paul in the Sci-fi original movie, he kicked ass, he played the character arc very well, and even seemed to grow up as the movie progressed.
Hell yeah, dont get me wrong I like the orginal movie and liked the Sci-Fi movie, both had things the other didnt, a new version of this classic novel will be badass! I am the Kwisatz Haderach!!!
