A wickedly colorful, twisted comedy, Drop Dead Gorgeous probes the heart of a small Minnesota town where a fictional teen beauty pageant has unleashed a fury of very unladylike behavior. Here in the hallowed American heartland -- amidst the cow fields, pork sausage factories and Lutheran churches, going after the tiara is not just a fairy-tale dream: it's all-out war. Everyone involved in the contest -- mothers, daughters, boyfriends -- knows only one thing counts and it isn't talent, physical fitness, current events or sportsmanship. It's being Number One. Drop Dead Gorgeous takes a wild ride through the All-American, win-at-all-costs philosophy while drawing an indelible satire of growing up in the heartland of hypocrisy. Like the contestants in Mount Rose, the film crosses over the line into its own unique brand of outrageous, biting comedy that spares no one.

With the exception of Interview with the Vampire, of course. lol
Not as good in Jumanji but was still the right role for her. Bonnie Hunt was the star of that film, IMO though. Love her.

As a legitimate actress, I think she was best in all the ones you mentioned, though I've never seen Small Soldiers all the way through.
But despite some of her other roles where people felt she was miscast, I just don't understand the immense hate for her. She was a good actress well beyond her years when she was younger and she's a decent one now. She's not going to be fantastic in everything she does, but when she picks the right role its a pretty memorable one.
While I haven't seen it from the beginning, I heard she got a lot of praise for her role in The Virgin Suicides. And I STILL need to see How To Lose Friends and Alienate People, that looked hilarious and a perfect role for her! I actually prefer her more in comedies. :)

I'm not a Kirsten Dunst fan, but I did enjoy this one, Interview with the Vampire, and Jumanji with her.
