I have no idea what was nick cage thinking when he signed up for this. The cast selection was good but still the overall performance was average. nick cage just gave his usual performance, you could tell that he didn't give his best. Amber heard was also okay . William fitchner david more and billy burke along with the supports were average. I guess nick cage was the only reason why I even watched it cause the supports really didn't put up a good show.
Patrick Lussier was behind direction so Patrick you just made a movie that was an average action flick but you were clever enough to pick up a good cast for it. I noticed that directors are pretty much aware that their movie might not score much hits and they deliberately pick up good casts so that they could make the most out of it. The real investment is the cast not the movie itself, patrick did the same. A good cast in a bad movie is what I think of it. Patrick was just concerned about action and bloodshed but still the movie didn't had a proper platform. He didnt focus on the script and the action sequence...well it was just nothing special. Infact he copied a scene from shoot em' up when clive owen was shooting the bad guys while he's banging monica belluci :P, so nick cage was banging his gun as well as he was also banging the bar lady!! :D I mean please Patrick come up with your own sh*t dawg!! don't copy others!! :| I am just saying that the action flick could have gone better but patrick just just ruined the movie.
Well the story was again written by Patrick and I must say, Patrick you really screwed yourself this time!! The story lacked mostly and It took me time to figure out that milton is actually coming back from hell to save his grand daughter and avenge his daughter and he is accompanied by amber heard for no reason :| Milton could have had his revenge in a more sadistic way but like I said Patrick didn't come up with good sh*t!
Visuals were mostly pathetic...the fire didn't even look real dammit! It's not the visuals that would make a good show for a 3D!!
Summing it up....If you're nick cage fan then you're in for a disappointment and I urge other viewers that what ever you do just don't watch it in 3D!! It doesn't even fit for a 2D experience so move on guys...
