It starts off as a town called Whoville as the Who's (people with strange-looking noses) get ready for Christmas. They all fear of The Grinch, a green man-like monster, who hates the year. He then decides to get rid of the year, but soon finds out that Christmas 'means a little bit more'.
Now, this film is quite enjoyable but a bit loosely based on the book. Maybe, they want to show a back-story and not make it nearly half-an-hour. Aside from this, it's a good movie to enjoy and you got to admit, Jim Carrey and Taylor Momsen did a pretty good job at doing their roles.
How The Grinch Stole Christmas is one of my favorite movies based on a book because of it's story and acting. But, this film has a moral; Christmas is not all about getting presents, it's all about being together as a family. Also, about the birth of Christ, but hey, the Who's live on a snowflake.
