Disturbia: Review By chupnick

Shia LaBeouf stars as a kid who is sentenced to house arrest for the summer. So without any of the luxuries around, he starts spying on his neighbors. He takes a liking to the new hot girl (Sarah Roemer) who moves in next door; because he's confined to his house, he can only, at first, have a very distant relationship with her. But when the two start chatting, Shia persuades Sarah to do a little spying of her own.

David Morse plays their other neighbor; Shia is convinced he's a serial killer in hiding, but he can't prove it. That's when he gets the help of his other buddy, Aaron Yoo; the three teens then start plotting how their going to find out all the dirt on David.

In the beginning of the film, Shia and his dad (Matt Craven) go fishing on a weekend trip; a very sweet beginning - fast forward now just 2 minutes into the flick - a horrific car accident that kills his father. The story picks up one year later from that incident.

Each character is complicated in their own way; you really get to know each and every one of them for the first 30 minutes. David Morse on camera is just a scary looking dude; he plays it so well, too! In one scene, Sarah is following him to the store, keeping track of him so Aaron and Shia can find out the dirt in his house. He catches up with her in the parking lot, and will most likely freak the crap out of nearly everyone in the theater. He utters the line, 'Just know, you're not the only one who's being watched.'

I seriously got goose bumps; my heart was pounding. Disturbia is a must-see film; you'll never look at your neighbors the same way again!
