Dinner for Schmucks: Synopsis
Tim, an up-and-coming executive, has just received his first invitation to the "dinner for idiots," a monthly event hosted by his boss that promises bragging rights (and maybe more) to the exec that shows up with the biggest buffoon. Tim's fiancée, Julie, finds it distasteful and Tim agrees to skip the dinner, until he bumps into Barry - an IRS employee who devotes his spare time to building elaborate taxidermy mouse dioramas - and quickly realizes he's struck idiot gold. Tim can't resist, and invites Barry, whose blundering good intentions soon sends Tim's life into a frenzied downward spiral and a series of comic misadventures, threatening a major business deal, bringing crazy stalker ex-girlfriend, Darla, back into Tim's life and driving Julie (or so Tim thinks) into the arms of another man.

omg i felt bad for steve carell's character but his character also annoyed the sh*t out of me!! i don't get how paul rudd's character put up with it for so long which made it slightly unbelievable

Every once in a while or sometimes too often you sit in a movie theater
and think to yourself who in his right mind came up with the idea for
this movie and even worse who in his right mind decided to fund this
movie. But I guess if you bring in a decent cast and enough hoopla for
marketing you could sell ice to Eskimos. I set through the movie and
other than a few laughters this movie is very boring and the main
reason for it is the plot. It doesn't make sense and overall just a bad

this is a remake of a GREAT little french film called THE DINNER GAME. i was NOT cool with them remaking this, i had little interest when Sacha Baron Cohen was attached, but now that he's off the project...so am i.
