I wasn't expecting a whole lot, but a little more than what I got. This isn't a totally crappy movie, but not the best zombie movie to come around in a while either. I like most George A. Romero movies, but this didn't do it for me. It started out well, then got boring. Like on and off again entertainment. Nothing original except camera angles, and everyone's seen Cloverfield, which I thought was a dissappointment.

The original Day of the Dead? If so, yes. I own it. Along with both versions of Dawn of the Dead, the remake of Night of the Living Dead, and Land of the Dead, and others I can't think of...

well it did but, it was from an indepedent production hosue, I think Romeros, and they took their time to make it, Day looks rushed

To BlizZzard, I think this movie had a hogher budget and had better acting, and George Romero rocks, but like stated in my review.....

We are definitly spilt on these two movies, Day of the Dead and Diary of the Dead, to me this movie was made better, and it gains point because George A. Romero went back to his roots, doing this movie independent, and being the "auteur" or the writer-director, of the movie unlike "Day" remake which he only co-wrote.

i thot the same thing. i am a hugely imense fan of the zombie genre and all alike. when this was coming about i was way excited. george a romero is a god but this didnt pan out to what i was hoping it would be. i felt let down in alot of areas. the acting by some of the students was skimpy at best. it didnt feel like they were natural on the camera. like maybe they tried too hard. i woulde given it a 2.5 or a 3 as well. first dissapointment by romero. hopefully he pulls thru with land of the dead 2
