This John Hughes-written comedy is equal parts Problem Child and Home Alone, and thanks to a great cast and a whimsically fun score the film is a hit. Dennis is likable despite his mischievous nature and having a little kid square off against Walter Matthau is genius. There is some great slapstick -- especially when Dennis meets up with a thief played by Christopher Lloyd -- and the cast is having a lot of fun in roles they're quite suited for. Mrs. Wilson is the nicest old gal on the block.
