stephen fry is the scriptwriter for the movie. according to a news report, and due to political correctness, Guy Gibon's dog cannot be called Nigg*r. So stephen fry is changing the name to Digger. i think this is outrageous!! the only reason Nigg*r's name is being changed is for the benefit of the americans. nobody else is offended by this word, and it seems unjust, unfair, and unacceptable to change the name of a famous dog, whose name was also the codeword for a breach in the Mohne Dam, simply to satisfy the americans. when did they last do anything to help anyone else apart from themselves? if you're going to do a remake of a movie, especially a factual doc*mentary like this, you should stay true to ALL the facts that are known. and changing something as important as this for the benefit of a country that is totally up itself, and believes that it's 1 rule for them, and another rule for everyone else, is bs. i say keep the name, Nigg*r, for the purpose not only for the film, but for historical accuracy and to remember the men who flew this mission, including those who did not return, and of course, for Nigg*r, who was run over by a car the day before the Raid.
